For years, the members of the census community have been demanding a market hall. “The southern flair and the Mediterranean attitude to life are repeatedly invoked in our city,” explains the FDP parliamentary group leader Tom H\u00f8yem, “but that has to go hand in hand with the regional economy, through a market hall”. The marketplace is the ideal location. \u201cThe marketplace should be the place where people meet and get together. Far too often there is no life here when other shops have already closed,\u201d says J\u00fcrgen Wenzel, parliamentary group leader of the FW|FUR group. There are currently only three bars on the market square, between the town church and the town hall the square has often been deserted. <\/p>\n\n
“We think the proposal to involve the town hall more in the design of the entire square is an important step,” says the census community. In addition, and this is unknown to many, according to the two factions, the town hall not only offers the space, but particularly good premises for a market hall, because under the citizens’ hall there is a large vaulted cellar, “ideal for a council cellar, and the atriums of the town hall are perfect \u2013 if you actually use it\u201d.
