The Free Voters and For Karlsruhe parliamentary group proposes the use of the information and health app luca for the citizens and gastronomy in Karlsruhe. This comes from an open letter<\/a> to the mayor of Karlsruhe and the district administrator. A similar application<\/a> has also been submitted to the City Council.<\/p>\n\n

In contrast to the federal government\u2019s Corona warning app, which only estimates the user\u2019s risk of illness, the luca app logs the social activities of citizens. The user’s contact information is stored securely and, in the event of a possible corona infection, is forwarded to the health department in encrypted form with the user’s consent. The infection can be traced back and contained by the health department without any bureaucratic hurdles. Only the health department can decrypt the data of the app with the consent of the user.<\/p>\n\n

Contact tracing is made much easier and the authorities and citizens can react as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe digital location of Karlsruhe is an ideal test region for the luca app. She attaches great importance to the data protection of the individual and noticeably supports the tracking and containment of the corona virus. With the use of the app, shop and commercial openings as well as private meetings are within reach again,\u201d emphasizes Petra Lorenz.<\/p>\n\n
