Following a public letter from the city council group Freie W\u00e4hler and F\u00dcR Karlsruhe to Mayor Dr. K\u00e4uflein, representatives of the parliamentary groups as well as those responsible for the Office of Public Order and Citizens&#8217; Affairs, IT representatives from the Office of Information Technology and Digitalization, and Mayor Albert K\u00e4uflein met for a roundtable discussion.<br\/>The interview took place on May 10, 2022 at the Ordnance and Civic Office. As a resolution, an express desk for the citizens&#8217; offices was adopted, which speeds up the work in the citizens&#8217; offices and is available for all citizens for short-term requests &#8211; even without an appointment. This decision was implemented promptly after the round table and is now a permanent feature in the citizens&#8217; offices.<\/p>\n\n<p>The city council group Freie W\u00e4hler and F\u00dcR Karlsruhe sees this as a good sign for the cooperation between the Karlsruhe offices and local politics:<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased that such an urgent concern of many citizens could be addressed so quickly. We would like to thank the city administration and Mayor K\u00e4uflein for their willingness to respond to our idea of a round table. It is a good sign that the open discussion has had an effect and that we have been able to improve the situation in the citizens&#8217; offices.
