Corona has had a major impact on the daily lives of students. Now that the Corona measures have been lifted, we need to talk about how the school has done over the past three years and what needs to be rehashed – in the classrooms, but also in the political arena.<\/p>\n\n
The city council group Freie W\u00e4hler and F\u00dcR Karlsruhe asks two school principals how they experience the consequences of Corona in everyday school life and where the current problems for students and education lie. Guests will be Principal Klaus K\u00fchn from the Pestalozzischule Durlach and Vice Principal Harald Bertram from the Goethe Gymnasium Karlsruhe. “The school closings were a mistake in that way,” Principal K\u00fchn says, “and we’re still feeling the effects.” Not only has the area of learning and knowledge suffered, but there are also lags in the emotional and social areas. Rules of living together and working together have been forgotten and need to be brought back to consciousness: “It is also very important that young people can live in presence at school, because contacts and friends with classmates are incredibly important,” says Klaus K\u00fchn from the Pestalozzi School. In the area of relationships, more must now be invested again.<\/p>\n\n
