The city council group of Freie W\u00e4hler and F\u00dcR Karlsruhe is committed to efficient personnel decisions in the city administration. A new concept in the Personnel Committee is intended to speed up processes in order to release staff positions more quickly. The focus of the measure is the introduction of the circulation procedure for personnel decisions. This enables applications to be processed quickly and key positions to be filled promptly. Previously, applicants often had to wait several months for a response, which not only caused frustration but also uncertainty. This often led to qualified candidates withdrawing their applications because they were accepted more quickly elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n
“We expect the introduction of these measures to significantly improve staffing processes. Not only applicants benefit from faster decisions, but also the city administration itself, which benefits from more efficient filling of important positions,” says City Councillor Petra Lorenz.<\/p>\n\n
In future, the Personnel Committee is to be convened at short notice within 14 days, particularly when appointments are made to head of office positions. This timeframe makes it possible to fill vacancies promptly and thus avoid leaving critical positions unfilled for long periods of time.<\/p>\n\n
As part of the budget negotiations, the motion by the Freie W\u00e4hler and F\u00dcR Karlsruhe was referred to the Personnel Committee, where it will be discussed in more detail.<\/p>\n\n
