{"id":8928,"date":"2024-07-19T10:51:29","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T08:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fwfuer.de\/whats-next-for-the-city-council-group-8928\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T16:08:52","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T15:08:52","slug":"whats-next-for-the-city-council-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwfuer.de\/en\/whats-next-for-the-city-council-group-8928\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s next for the city council group?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Karlsruhe has voted.\nWith a voter turnout of 61.4%, the citizens elected the 48 city councillors for their city.\nCouncillor Petra Lorenz (Freie W\u00e4hler) and Councillor Friedemann Kalmbach (F\u00dcR Karlsruhe) stood for re-election and once again received the trust of the voters &#8211; both councillors will be part of the new municipal council.\nCouncillor J\u00fcrgen Wenzel (Freie W\u00e4hler), a Karlsruhe City Councillor for 15 years, did not stand for re-election.   <br\/>The city council group is satisfied with its work over the past 5 years: &#8220;Our fact-oriented, constructive and friendly cooperation as a city council group has directly translated into political content. We wanted to solve problems and be innovative in order to seek the best for Karlsruhe. We have achieved this. With our political approach, we introduced new ideas and were able to shape local politics across all parties,&#8221; said City Councillor Kalmbach.<br\/>&#8220;Many of our ideas have contributed to positively shaping our cityscape. As city councillors, we want to continue to do this.
