The legislative period ends with the municipal elections on June 9, 2024 and the constituent meeting of the new municipal council in July. Despite an intensive election campaign, the city council group focused fully on its work for Karlsruhe. And a lot has happened: The city decided to cut cultural subsidies. This hit the Chamber Theater particularly hard. The city's austerity measures have forced the renowned theater to close its doors temporarily.
