A new
municipal council info
of the city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe was published in June. Under the title “Karlsruhe can do better!”, city councillors Friedemann Kalmbach (FÜR Karlsruhe), Jürgen Wenzel (Freie Wähler) and Petra Lorenz (Freie Wähler) will give an insight into their work on the Karlsruhe city council.
Friedemann Kalmbach, chairman of the parliamentary group, begins the issue by talking about the state of Karlsruhe’s economy and what the downsizing of Galeria Karstadt means for the city center. He also gives a preview of the topics for the coming year.
The city council group has new ideas for the climate: the “sponge city” in particular could be a new means of making Karlsruhe greener and more environmentally friendly. With the help of green and unsealed surfaces, water can be collected so that the city can be cooled in the hot months. Which areas could be used to store more water?
You can read this and more in the 9th municipal council info of the city council group of Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe.
