The Europaplatz stop will be retained. The stop in Karlstraße will be closed.
Reason
There is already a disabled-friendly stop at Europaplatz with a direct connection to the underground tram. Elevators are also available at Europaplatz. This infrastructure, which was only recently completed, should continue to be used. The above-ground tracks on Europaplatz will remain in place even if the stop is relocated, so it will not be possible to use the square for any other purpose.
Instead of relocating the stop, we propose closing the stop in Karlstr. as it no longer fulfills its previous function as a transfer station due to the changed route network of the combined solution.
These changes can save the costs of relocating the stop with a direct connection to the subway and the existing infrastructure.
