The Verkehrsbetriebe Karlsruhe (VBK) have converted their petrol stations for their vehicle fleet with combustion engines to future-oriented synthetic fuels, which our parliamentary group of Free Voters and FOR Karlsruhe very much welcomes. For the time being, gas-to-liquid (GTL) will be used. The changeover is currently also affecting municipal customers such as KASIG and the gardening department. A further step can then be the conversion to ReFuels. Our group sees this as an important step towards climate neutrality, in which the current situation must also be taken into account. Our group has repeatedly called for a switch to Power-to-X in recent years. We will submit a proposal to the municipal council.
