The city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe is calling for a more streamlined organization of the Arts Commission in order to make more efficient use of the time and resources of the administration and the city council.
As part of this measure, submissions for the art commission and documents from artists are to be made available in advance.
It is also planned that the art commission will meet after the culture committee.
The reason for this initiative lies in the realization that some subcommittees and commissions represent a considerable amount of time and work for the administration and the municipal council.
This workload can be reduced by streamlining the structure and integrating them into appropriate committees.
A key aspect of this is the early provision of all necessary documents, including presentations.
“By organizing the Arts Commission more efficiently, we want to ensure that its work can be carried out effectively and in a targeted manner,” explains Friedemann Kalmbach, chairman of the city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe. “By providing information in good time and linking it to the Culture Committee, we can save time and resources and improve the quality of decisions at the same time.”
The city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe see this measure as an important step towards increasing the efficiency and productivity of the Arts Commission. The timely provision of information and the link to the Culture Committee will ensure that the Commission’s work can be carried out effectively and in a targeted manner.
