The “FÜR Karlsruhe” voter group extends its warm congratulations to Aljoscha Löffler (BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN) on his successful election as the new mayor for Planning and Construction for the City of Karlsruhe. With this change at the helm of the Department of Building and Construction, pivotal decisions regarding the urban development of the “Fan City” are on the horizon.
City Councilmember Friedemann Kalmbach emphasizes the great responsibility that comes with this office and points to the challenges that lie ahead in the coming years:
“Here in Karlsruhe—as in many major German cities—we face enormous challenges in the areas of construction, housing, and the management of urban land. We at FÜR Karlsruhe wish Aljoscha Löffler all the best, wisdom, and a fruitful collaboration with the city council groups as he takes on his upcoming responsibilities.”
At the same time, the “FÜR Karlsruhe” voter group is taking the opportunity presented by the change in office to express its gratitude to outgoing City Planning Commissioner Daniel Fluhrer. Fluhrer led the department during a period marked by major urban development projects and intense debates. FÜR Karlsruhe thanks him for his hard work, his dedication to the city of Karlsruhe, and the consistently professional, committed, and approachable dialogue over the past years, and wishes him all the best for his professional and personal future.
FÜR Karlsruhe pledges to provide the newly elected mayor in charge of construction, Aljoscha Löffler, with objective, solution-oriented, and critical support in the City Council in order to jointly advance the pressing issues of housing creation and urban land development in the best interests of Karlsruhe’s citizens.
