  1. Would the roller rink have continued to be passable in snowfall, rain, or ice?
  2. Is a synthetic ice rink still passable in snowfall, rain or ice?
  3. How does the abrasion of the roller skating rink differ from that of a synthetic ice rink like the one in Baden-Baden
  4. How does the environmental impact of both systems compare?
  5. What amount of electricity was saved with the roller rink compared to the real ice surface? Does this theorethically apply to a synthetic ice surface?
  6. What system is being considered for the upcoming season?

Reason
In 2019, our group requested the introduction of a synthetic ice rink to replace a real ice rink. The aim of the measure for us was energy saving and a longer operation of the surface or its use for other events outside the cold season.
The administration stated that the synthetic ice surfaces, ex. by the supplier Glice, are in no way comparable to a real ice surface, are difficult to drive on and are harmful to the environment. In order to save energy, a roller skating rink has now been placed, which is also based on plastic elements. We would now like to have both systems compared.
