The city council group Freie Wähler and Wählergruppe FÜR Karlsruhe (FW|FÜR Karlsruhe group) has submitted a motion to the Karlsruhe City Council calling for better signage for tourism in the city center. In cooperation with Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH, a concept is to be developed to erect signposts on the market square and important intersections to point out the highlights of the city and to indicate the footpaths with meter markings.

As a livable and attractive city with nearly 1 million overnight visitors a year, it is important that wayfinding and experience in the city be improved.
