The city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe expresses concerns about the effects of the change of the line network on the connection of the Waldstadt. City Councilor Petra Lorenz (FW) emphasized that the effects of decisions such as the conversion of the route network on the mobility of citizens and public transport must be reviewed and, if necessary, adjustments made.

“It is important to us to review the impact of our decisions, such as the line network change, and make adjustments as necessary. Especially with regard to the mobility of citizens and the impact on public transport, it is important to regularly review the development of passenger numbers in the different parts of the city. In order to be able to judge at all whether the change of the line network actually led to an improvement of the public traffic or whether there is need for adjustment, we need the secured information of the city”, so city councillor Petra Lorenz.

The request to the city administration serves as a source of information on the development of passenger numbers in the forest city since the conversion of the route network. The city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe is committed to ensuring that the mobility of citizens in Karlsruhe is guaranteed and that public transport is accessible and effective for all.
