Now private individuals and associations can sponsor a bench for Karlsruhe. Park benches can thus be financed and maintained quickly and easily in Karlsruhe. To make this possible, the city council group Freie Wähler and FÜR Karlsruhe suggested a new foundation model in which citizens, companies and associations can pool money to donate for new benches. The city administration has now implemented this proposal.
A new bench with donation plaque costs around 1500€. Those who wish to help fund maintenance and repairs due to vandalism can donate money and specify the location and type of bench. For this purpose, interested citizens as well as associations or companies can contact the horticultural office informally by e-mail.
