Karlsruhe (FW|FUR) – “The city is not allowed to degenerate to a stone desert”, City Councilor Jürgen Wenzel heads an application of his new Group of Free Voters and FOR Karlsruhe. This calls for new ideas for a greener and shadier inner city. Including raised beds and poles on which climbing plants can swing upwards.
“It is clear that the city center needs to be greened out of the question”, explains City Councilor Friedemann Kalmbach, “due to the warming We have to cool down the climate in our city, water features are enough not out on a stone square.” The parliamentary group therefore proposes different ideas which are to be examined by the city administration and then implemented.
